Why SwagerBuilds Builds Shops
Most builders treat shops as side work. I don’t.
A shop in Eastern Idaho gets the same snow load as your house, the same wind exposure, and — if it’s your hobby barn or your barndominium — just as much of your life. I build shops with the same engineering, the same documentation, and the same finish standard I bring to my custom homes.
That means stamped structural drawings, real foundations sized for the load, framing that won’t sag in 20 years, and finish work you’d be happy to put inside the main house.

Insulated and heated shops sized for trucks, RVs, woodworking, snowmobile collections, and gear that needs more square footage than the house can spare.
Barndominiums
Hybrid builds combining shop space with finished living quarters. Engineered, permitted, and finished to custom-home standards — not pole-barn shortcuts.
Outbuildings & ADUs
Detached studios, guest quarters, equipment buildings, and accessory dwellings. Same daily logs and fixed-price discipline as the main house.
Investment Range
$100–$300+ per square foot.
A bare insulated shop runs the lower end. A finished barndominium with custom millwork and full mechanical landed near custom-home pricing. The honest range depends on finish level, mechanical scope, and how much of the building functions as living space.
